The latest Government advice on wearing face coverings during the present pandemic, states that they should be worn on public transport and in shops. However, manufactured surgical masks and respirators, such as those pictured below, should not be purchased, so that stocks do not run out for those who need them most, such as healthcare workers.
Public Health England have issued guidance on how people can make their own cloth face coverings, either using an old t-shirt or a sewn cloth covering. The full instructions are shown via this link.
