Havering’s broadband speed improves

Price comparison company Comparethemarket.com have published a British Broadband Index, based on figures supplied by Ofcom. This shows that Havering broadband users had an average speed of 75.8 Mbps in 2019, an increase of 16.4 Mbps from the previous year.

The figures show that Havering are ranked joint 8th of the 33 London boroughs (including the City of London), up from 10th place in 2018. Nationally, Havering were 66th out of 377 local authority areas.

The index, which covers every local authority in the UK, is based on on the average of the services that people have subscribed to, NOT the maximum potential speed in each area.
