Grants of up to £10,000 are available to local councils, organisations, schools, ex-service organisations and individuals for Armed Forces Day events across the UK.
The Ministry of Defence is providing funding for events such as tea parties, parades, big band concerts, civil war military re-enactments, and live and static demonstrations to be held on or in the weeks around 26 June 2021. Grants can cover up to half the total cost of the event.
Funding could be used to:
- Cover road closures required to hold an event
- Decorations
- Flags and banners
- Newspaper and radio advertisements
- Security and first aid arrangements
- IinsurancePA and communications systems
