Transport for London (TfL) have announced that the Upminster-Emerson Park-Romford ‘push and pull’ rail line will be closed from Friday 25 until Monday 28 December.
TfL services will run throughout Christmas and New Year, but planned works and service changes will affect some public transport and road travel.
- Some Tube and Rail services are closing earlier on Christmas Eve and no night buses will run into Christmas morning, with last buses on 24-hour services at around midnight.
- No service on the majority of public transport on Christmas Day. Dial-a-Ride, Santander Cycles and some coach services will be available.
- Most of the network will be running on Boxing Day.
- With no fireworks, events or late-night hospitality, Tube and Rail services will not run all night on New Year’s Eve. Customers who do need to use the public transport network are encouraged to complete their journeys as early as possible and before midnight. If you need to travel, the bus network will operate a Saturday service.
