Tapestry is an innovative charity and ‘not for profit’ social business working to provide appropriate, personalised and affordable care and support for adults and older people in the local community.
During the pandemic, Tapestry established a food delivery service, initially through donations, providing hot, healthy, freshly produced meals to vulnerable people of all ages.
They still deliver between 450-500 meals each week but they are now self-funded and are currently making a loss. This leaves the service at risk unless more customers start to make use of it. Around 250 meals a week more would make the service financially sustainable.
