A Full Meeting of Havering Council is being held tonight (Wednesday 02 March 2022), starting at 7.30pm, to set the council budget for the year 2022/23. As part of this, the Council Tax rates and Members (councillors) Allowances for the year ahead will also be set.
The Upminster and Cranham Residents’ Association Group, together with the Residents’ Group (who are Residents’ Association councillors in the Hornchurch and Elm Park areas), have submitted a joint amendment, which proposes to reduce overall spending on Members Allowances by over £200,000 from that proposed by the Conservative Administration. The Residents’ Association of Emerson Park team support this amendment.
