London City Airport have launched a 10-week consultation into proposed expansion plans. The plans include –
- An increase in passenger numbers from 6.5 million to 9 million a year (by using larger, quieter planes)
- Removing the ban on Saturday afternoon and evening flights
- Operating more flights at the start and end of the day
