Due to the extreme heat predicted for next week (18-22 July 2022), Havering Council has decided that waste and recycling street collections will start an hour earlier than usual, at 6am instead of 7am, to allow crews to complete more work during the cooler hours of the day.
Serco have agreed that any missed collections will still be honoured, being collected the next day, and that extra attention will be paid to clearing spillages etc.
