The Department for Work and Pension’s (DWP) have recently changed the way their Bereavement Services can be contacted, bringing together a number of services under a single phone number. You can now contact them for the following services by ringing 0800 151 2012 –
- Report a death, provide information and find out what support is available
- Register a claim for Bereavement Benefit, Bereavement Support Payment or Funeral Expenses Payments
- Request State Pension updates following the death of a spouse or civil partner
