Home-Start Havering is a local charity training volunteers to support struggling families with children under 5-years old in the borough, particularly those affected by bereavement or illness.
Since the pandemic there has been a considerable rise in the number of children deemed ‘at risk’ in Havering.
To continue this work they are in need of volunteers and donations, and because much of their work is ‘behind closed doors’ they can sometimes struggle for publicity.
