The NHS ‘Shield List’ (formerly called the ‘Vulnerable List’) has been created to identify people who have a medical condition which makes them extremely vulnerable to coronavirus (COVID-19). These vulnerable householders may need deliveries of essential goods, such as food and medicine.
Our local ‘Shield List’ has been received by Havering Council and parcels are already being delivered to those in need. There are nearly 6,000 Havering residents on that list.
It is believed that there may be many more people who are not on the initial list who may be separately identified by others, such as GP’s and Havering Council etc. However, there can be no guarantees that everyone has been (or will be) identified.
Therefore if you or you know anyone who you think should be on the list you/they can register for help via the Government website.
