Havering Volunteer Centre, in partnership with the Friends of the Secret Blind Garden, have launched a crowdfunding campaign to improve the only outdoor recreational space within the London Borough of Havering for the visually impaired.

The space, which is in Harrow Lodge Park near to the new leisure centre, has been lovingly tended to for the past four years by dedicated volunteers, who have ensured that it has remained open and safe for visitors. It’s now time to develop this area and enhance the enjoyment for those with visual impairment, by installing large, raised font and braille signage, so that users of the space can truly benefit from its splendour.

They have therefore launched a fundraising campaign to help raise £3,000 to finance this work. If you would like to donate please visit www.spacehive.com/secret-blind-garden-braille-improvements  .
