Local QAVS winner – Martyn Mead

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) reception evening, with the Lord Lieutenant for Essex, Mayor, and top council officials, took place on 24 September 2021 in Chelmsford Cathedral. The event recognises the winners of the award, which in the charity equivalent of the MBE

Martyn Mead, an Emerson Park resident and supporter of the Residents’ Association, is also an active volunteer and fund raiser for the charity Kids Inspire, who celebrate their 14th Birthday this year and were among the winners.

Kids Inspire have grown from supporting 25 children to supporting over 5000 children, young people, families, siblings and grand parents, providing services tailored to individual needs.

Huge congratulations and thanks go to everyone involved with Kids Inspire and also to the other winners.
