It has become normal practice for local residents to have tidy up around some of the bins in Platford Green/Tyle Green, after they are now regularly overfilled.
We have asked Havering Council to review the size of these bins and if there are any design features available that prevent wildlife (foxes) from pulling rubbish from the bins.
In the meantime residents are asked not to use these bins to dispose of their domestic waste and dog walkers are requested to take their dog waste home or use an alternative, if the bins are clearly at full capacity. We have also asked the council to review the frequency of collections across the ward, as the problem is seemingly not isolated to this location.
