About 18 months ago the rolling stock on the Upminster to Romford push and pull line was updated. However an apparent design fault has resulted in the squeal of brakes causing disturbance to local residents near the railway. A solution has been sought from TFL and this has now escalated to the local MP and representative for the London Authority – Hopefully a solution can be found swiftly.
