Railway crossings removal

Readers may be aware that the railway crossings at Woodhall Crescent and Maybush Road are being removed. You may recall, that this was proposed several years ago and we instigated a monitoring system, which showed that whilst there was hardly any use of the Woodhall Crescent crossing, the one at Maybush Road was quite popular.

We conceded that this might mean the loss of one of the crossings, especially as there is a bridge across the railway already but fully expected the busy crossing to be retained. It appears that despite our objections and the fact that there have been no fatalities or near misses on this line for relatively slow moving trains, TFL have decided to go ahead with the closures anyway.
