Graffiti

Last month we noticed some graffiti on the Wingletye Lane Railway bridge, which we reported and was promptly removed by Council staff. Then more appeared on the building hoardings for several development sites in Herbert Road, which is the responsibility of the developer to remove.

The same individual also targeted Wingletye Lane from one end to the other leaving his/her mark on bus stops, telephone service boxes walls, signs and even a discarded fridge. Again a report to council officers resulted in the swift removal from Council property, with a request to TFL and BT to take care of the damage to their items.

Please be vigilant – we need to catch this person, as they are committing the offence of criminal damage, and wasting Council funds in having to remove their artwork.
